Creamy Pecan Pralines Recipe
- 1 cup Priester's natural pecan halves, toasted
- 5 tablespoon unsalted butter, divided
- 6 tablespoon light cream
- 1/3 cup sweetener blend (see recipe below)
Combine 4 tablespoons of the butter with the sweetener and cream over medium heat. Stir until sweetener is dissolved. Add the vanilla. Cook until it is a deep golden brown. As soon as it reaches that deep color (right before burning) remove the heat and immediately add the other 1 tablespoon butter. Stir until smooth. Add the salt and toasted pecans. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper. Refrigerate until firm. Sweetener Blend Recipe 1 1/2 cups plus 2 tablespoons erythritol 2 cups plus 2 tablespoons xylitol 2 tsp Stevia Process in the food processor for a few minutes if you are planning on using it in skinny chocolate, beverages, or icing. For baking, you can just mix it together by hand. Blend right before using in recipes.
